Help! Remote work space issue with adding pulled files

Hello! Me and a friend have started making a mod and slammed into an issue. Whenever my friend adds a few blocks and commits his changes and I pull them his elements show up in the folder but never end up in the actual editor for me to edit. I am not sure why mcreator doesn't want to add them to the project so I believe it could be a bug.
