Any normal block does not block light at all.

Hello I made a bunch of normal blocks with just default properties the opacity is 0 and there is no ways that light can go through except the blocks never block light. I am really confused and any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also the How to Make a Block page says 0 means no light goes through and 1 means it can let light through, 128 is semi-transperent and 255 is all light which is why I am confused.

255 did it thank you so much Klemen! I have one other question, the transparent texture feature with the eraser for the texture editor is it possible to have say 3 faces solid and 3 others transparent? Thanks again.

Hey Klemen, I am getting this error when I place a custom elevator block which changes Y direction by player side and has a procedure that when it is right clicked it turns into a opened version of a model to function like a less resource heavy door. But it is specific to certain locations, I tried researching it in MCEdit but I saw nothing different in those areas.
