My mod Eternal Tales is quite large and I recently completed a new version. When I decided to upload it to the site, I ran into a problem-you can't upload files over 20 MB. I think this is a rather strange restriction. My mod will only grow in the future and I won't be able to upload it to the site.
Ah, I remember my first time. So you see, apparently what you have to do is go to mediafire.com, put the file there, and put the link in your mod. but of course you have to put a file, which for me would be the first version of my mod, which so far 469 people have downloaded THAT version. this would be great if they would fix.
The size limit is 20MB otherwise, Klemen won't have enough storage on his servers. To have a higher size limit, he would have to pay more and MCreator isn't his job.
Umf, it's not convenient. People will see the old version and download it. If they don't notice the link.
Then add something in the mods description telling them that the mediafire link is the most recent version.
Put the .jar in a zip. Add the .zip as the download. Just make sure to note that you have to unzip the mod first.
bro my first version is like, 79 mb... and... its a small mod. HELP.
my gojicraft mod is pretty small, imo.

Maybe it would be smart to allow hosting on curseforge, but still have a page here.
as is you arent allowed to make a page here at all, even if you have it hosted elsewhere.
i copied what someone else did, and did this https://mcreator.net/modification/78840/gojicraft.
should be an option to host like this smh
