There needs to be an option to allow a mob to be a water mob, generate in water, but on the seafloor, and have the mob be unable to swim - only "jump". The mob needs to be able to sink to the seafloor when spawned in water with a spawn egg or /summon. Basically, I need a feature to allow having a water mob that is unable to swim (or not float). I'm trying to make a Starfish mob that breathes water, but cannot swim and moves slowly on the seafloor.
Create a normal mob and set immune to drowning. Maybe that can work
And uncheck Swim/Float when in water
That works until it gets about 10-ish blocks from a land. then it just sits there indefinitely, not moving. and they're attracted to shore so they normally just leave the water and hang out on land if its close as well.
i tested for 4h - entities that are not marked 'water entity'do not spawn on water... so i don know how to update my starfishes now, it use to work before...
and im not talking about the WaterCreature option on spawning, im talking about the one on the second tab on mob creation
