How do i move something that is OUTSIDE the folder INTO the folder?

You need to double click the thing and then drag it.
For me all that does is select multiple things.
My comment is a year and a half old, but I just checked on the new version and that still is how to do it.
Hover over the item you want to move to a folder, double click and hold the second click, keep holding the click and drag your mouse to the folder.
