Wondering how to play a sound through the master from a function

Hello!

I am making a walkman (portable music player) item for my minecraft mod, but i cant work out how to make the function i am using to play the music, play a sound through the master channel so the sound follows the player. I was wondering if this is possible and if it is can someone help!
