tells me to install jre even tho i already have it

i tried to install the latest snapshot (2021.2.23417) and it tells me i need jre even though i already have it, i've tried to install from https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase-jdk16-downloads.html (windows x64 installer) and https://www.java.com/en/download/, any help?
