help with custom music for music disk

I can't find any of my music under the "sound to play" section.

Am I missing something important?

Make sure the file you've uploaded into MCreator is a ".ogg" file. If not, you will not be able to use it within your mod.
You can download something like Audacity to convert .mp3 files over to .ogg or look online for an alternative.
but I use Audacity for audio conversion!

But if that is not your issue. Make sure your sound file is located in:
Workspace > Resources > Sound files
