well, you're in good company, because i've had all of this happen to me. so i decided to take matters into my own hands. with the help of MCreator, i present to you the Cannons Mod. currently, there is one cannon block, and one cannon ball. bear with me, here, i know it looks incredibly simple, but i spent most of my time building the code blocks and working out bugs during playtesting before release. it was hard, to say the least, but now that i got it working, i think it's safe to say, my excitement was immeasurable, and my day was made. jokes aside, let's get into what these cannons can do, and how to use them. so unlock yer capstan at the shipwright, and see what new payload he's got for ye.

firstly, the cannon. it's a relatively simple little block that is safe to use on a ship using Davinci's Vessels, since it retains its orientation relative to the ship. and i didn't have to do anything! it just works on its own! it is crafted in a crafting table with an iron block in the middle left slot, two iron ingots to the right of it, any kind of wood planks in the bottom corners, and a stick in the bottom middle. but a cannon cannot fire without a cannon ball, now can it?!

that brings our focus to the cannon ball. crafted with an iron block in the middle, surrounded by iron ingots in the walls and gunpowder in the corners, the Shipwright can make 64 cannon balls in one go! that's a full magazine for a single cannon to fire away at those scallywags that dare pillage yer plunder! simply right-click the cannon while sneaking to open its inventory interface, and load the payload in the cannon, and UNLEASH STEEL RAIN! dispensers and fire charges have nothing on this explosive power! sink yer foes at sea, or plant a siege engine on a castle! and did i mention, you can lob these cannon balls out of yer hands? yes, throwing a cannon ball will send one flying into the air, and the weight will do the rest! it won't go near as far as a cannon, though.

the cannons themselves are a full block, so they can look flush with a ship's side when placing them below deck. make sure you place them from the outside! nobody wants a backfiring cannon taking their legs, and punching a giant hole in the deck! that's gotta hurt. that's all for now! enjoy yer cannons!
