Item Texture not showing with Model Active

I am making a mod and have an item that uses a custom model, The model is displaying completely fine and has no missing textures.

However want the item to have a specific texture in the inventory and it is not showing up even though I have it set, this might be just a problem with MCreator itself but it might not which is why I am posting this here.
