I think it would be neat to be able to have a red or any color glint effect instead of the normal purple this would also work well with custom enchantments.

I recommend making animated texture with glint and conditionally apply it using item properties

One can not change the color with parameters and this would require Minecraft render altering most likely. This is currently of of scope, but might be added later down the road.
