This page explains how to use workspace folders in MCreator. The system tries to be intuitive, but also backward compatible with old UX, so this page is aimed to fill the gap.

To enter a folder, double click on it. To leave a folder, double click a parent folder in the top bar (breadcrumb), or click the move a folder up button.

Dragging multiple elements at once
To drag multiple elements at once, first select the elements. Then double-click one of the elements in the selection and while holding the second click, drag it the same way you would a single element.
Moving a folder or mod element to the parent folder
To move a folder or mod element to the parent folder, double-click the mod element or folder and while holding the second click, drag the element in the top bar (breadcrumb) indicating the order of folder structure.
You can use breadcrumb on the top to quickly navigate through folders. Double-click a parent folder to move into it. Single-click a parent folder to see other folders and elements in this folder, and click on folder on the dropdown to move deeper into the folder structure.
