Maybe the next update will be the first release of MCreator 2 and they will change update name format
But I honestly liked the previous one better, it was more memorable
maybe
I think its year/Update 2019/5
next update is 2019.5
last update was 2019.1
We are in 2019, and the old 1.9.2 (now 2019.5) is he fifth updates of the years, so 2019 for the year, and 5 for the number of updates in the years, but yeah I think that this version name is not the best. They could only call the update 2.0.0 pr something like this.
Old version format did not tell much, it was on 1.x.x since the start, the second number did not tell much too.
New format is more incremental:
<year>.<incremental update number for the year>
Plus a build number to identify patch version, so:
year.major.build is the full version name.
It is much more descriptive and being adopted by many software projects in the past years.
You will get used to it ;)
I will make an article about this in the upcoming days.
So is there going to be a update coming up to allow modding for 1.14?
Yes, in the next update you will be able to mod for both 1.12.2 and 1.14.4
