How do I make skins for my entities

I would like to know how I make a skin for every entity (like cows, bats, creepers, etc.) now I can only make a player like creature, but I would like to make a creeper to. Is there anyone who knows how to do that, or knows a program to do so?

If you want to use a standard model provided by MCreator:

Find your minecraft folder where all your entity textures are stored. Import the texture you want (for example creeper) into an image editing software like GIMP. You can now adjust the skin and see where every part should go.

If you want to use a custom mode: Use blockbench, which will generate a texture for your 3d model which you can import into an image editing software.
