Image too large

   So, let's get into this! While making an overlay for my mod, coined "Project Dark Sky", the image I imported (16 by 16) was extremely large, it took up half the screen! Now, I originally made the image 8 by 8, but the same thing happened, hence why I made it 16 by 16. I was hoping to be able to look through here and find a solution, but to no avail, so if anyone knows whats going on and how to fix it, help would be very much appreciated!
