Trees generating "cubic"

So I made a biome with custom trees and selected custom log and leaves for it. when it generates the leaves are Always the same and "cubic" I mean theres the stem and then a 5x5x2 leaves chunk and above that in 3x3x2 how can I fix this in Mcreator Version 2019.5

I have this problem too, I think it might be best to just generate trees as structures.

I make a block for the leaves that runs a procedure that checks to see if there is a block above it, and if there is not, have a 25% chance of destroying the block.

I have used both of these, and which one you choose just depends on what you want the tree to look like.

Wouldn't your solution have a 25% chance of breaking the leaves if someone was to place them down?

True. You could just add an extra part to the procedure to test if player is near when the block is added.

Here's a pic of that problem unresolved, I don't have a pic of it resolved yet.
