please don't type in all caps

and I think mcreator automatically repairs corrupted workspaces using backups

Backups will not backup your…

Backups will not backup your custom files, only workspace structure as with other files, you are on your own.

If you delete a file on a computer, it is gone, this is how deleting files works.
