Hi all friends! today I wanted to explain good methods to create beautiful and very inspiring textures!
There are few steps, but I assure you that they will help you a lot :D
[1] Having the right programs
There are many sites and software that allow you to create textures or designs of many types, but there are some that are, in my opinion, the best.
Warning! Don't use things like MsPaint to create textures!
The best programs are:
2D Texture: Paint.net (Free) or Photoshop (Premium)
3D Texture: Blockbench (Free) or MrCrayfish's Model Creator (Free)
[2] Don't do wacky things
it may be that the textures come in figure 1, it is normal. My advice? take inspiration from Minecraft's default textures (which you can download here: https://mcasset.cloud/)! It will be much easier to make shades and patterns closer to the game, and then you can also combine textures to make objects of different types (figure 2)
[3] Don't copy other people's textures
There is not much to say here, simply and disrespectfully and lazily :'D
[4] Be creative!
Everything starts from your head, you must have imagination and be creative
A tip and don't do repetitive textures (figure 3)
I hope this tutorial has been useful to you, if you want to recommend me or correct me, write as well :D

Nice little tutorial! You have, however, forgot something. You need to have some skills with pixel arts/drawings, or a lot of practice.
Just as rightly says Goldorion, you must also have a little experience.
The tutorial is lacking some important aspect such as the Hueshifting and the shading mistakes.
This is also true MarionLOVESKPOP28PH, but you can also simply copy the shading of the vanilla textures
Nice tutorial :D

And true on this you are right, I immediately added it thanks XD
For the programs, I suggest Using PAINT.net and Aseprite. The tutorial is lacking some important aspecta such as the Hueshifting and the shading mistakes. And lastly its ok to make repetitive textures if you're making a vanilla mod like adding emerald armor and such.
