There should be custom death messages and a custom damage type element to allow for deaths that actually make sense from custom blocks and items

Where's Upvote option on this thread?
This is possible using custom damage sources but those must be written in code manually
Make a ticket :)) I'll upvote :))
This is an interesting feature that I would like to see added. I too have the same problem with certain mobs that have different kinds of attacks. For example, I have a mob that attacks with electricity and applies the 'Electrified' effect onto the player. This 'Electrified' effect damages the player and can kill the player. Instead of having "{Player} died", I would want something like this: "{Player} was lethally electrified".
I'll say it again; it would be an excellent feature to add, giving more variety to MCreator mods by allowing more subtle uniqueness's to be added.
I found a way to check if an entity died. with Isdead. for make plugins
I was about to post this but I saw it in the similar posts thing. :) I know it's a small feature but I really want this!
Yes please, we want custom death messages and maybe easier making of custom damage sources!
Very useful Reply.
In case anyone needs to know how to add the second death message "Entity1 dies from [effect] whilst fighting Entity2". You need to add the second localization entry as "death.attack.[yourdamagesource].player" and then use the symbols in the original post. It should work. Hope it helps
