Topic category: Help with MCreator software
So I made the item texture and item and it brought me to this procedure page. I clicked on the one that said, "If Item is crafted or smelted" to create new. So I read up on procedures and I'm hella confused. I just thought I could specify "if" these items are placed in the crafting table. You'll get this item. I don't understand procedures and I honestly thought it would be as simple as MCreator opening a simple GUI for me to specify the items and the output. I tried reading up on procedures but I'm still confused.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Oh no, “when item is crafted or smelted” is just a procedure trigger. For a custom table, You will have to make your own workbench, Your own GUI, and procedures.
If you just meant you wanted to be able to craft it in a normal crafting table there is an element called “Recipe”
Say if I wanted to make my own blocks with craftability. I have no choice but to use procedures?
If you want to craft them with a default crafting table, then you don’t. Just make an new element with the type “Recipe”.
So I have to use procedures if I want to make a block with the ability to craft my items?
Yes. There are tutorials online that can help.
And when you make the procedure there are templates. To get them hit the “templates” button inside the procedure maker.
I know a way to make it adjustable really easily but its a pluggin im working on.
