Weird shadows on some faces from blockbench models

Hi, I've created some blocks (six in total) to represent a pillar section in a building I'm creating in game. Three of them contain a half brick wall and one pillar (bottom, middle and top) and three contain two pillars (bottom, middle, top). The models for each were created in blockbench, exported as json, then created as blocks in mcreator.

But I'm seeing really weird shadows on some of the pillar sections, but not all. Heres a screen shot highlighting some of the blocks...

Weird texturing on pillars

The red boxes are highlighting some of the blocks. The complete set of blocks is six wide and five high. I know some of the faces are missing textures that I can easily fix.

But I'm confused as to why some faces are normal, and some are dark/shadowed. I know I duplicated some cubes/folders in Blockbench. But I didn't change any texture or texture orientation. Any ideas?

on block properties change transparency type to "cutout"

and tick your block has transparent parts to "check to enable"

if these wont work make a slightly smaller bounding box. These fixed the issue on my mod :)

Thanks. The first two didn't help (the blocks were already set to transparent "check to enable", but the bounding box change did.
