Are tools like swords with attack damage 9 or 10 and pickaxes with 13 efficiency (slightly faster than gold) and axes with 11 or 12 attack damage op/too powerful and tier 4 (1 tier more than diamond) too powerful?
It depends. Netherite tools aren't op.
A sword that does 9 or 10 additional damage will require two timed hits to kill almost any mob. But that isn't really a problem if the mod also adds some new powerful mobs (that to not make earlygame too hard could begin spawning only after some days / after a player has completed an advancement).
Power creep is kind of subjective. You won't know if a weapon is op until you try it or take some feedback about it
Ok I might make hard variants of stone in my mod (and maybe some strong stone monsters)
I tried my pickaxe, it broke obsidian in 3.6 seconds and stone in a millisecond
I think it's stronger than netherite
Sounds like an efficiency 5 netherite pickaxe with even more speed.
Also I think that pickaxe is a bit to powerful since that pickaxe is even better than any pickaxe with efficiency 5.
well i added a block thats nearly as hard as obsidian and my tool can break it as fast as wood pickaxe can break stone
