How to make walls?

I have new to adding in walls and fences, and ive got fences to work, unfortunately when i try making walls i get an error, i made sure to make a wall tag and fence tag, this does not fix my problem, ive also made sure to select wall for the block base. I dont know what im supposed to do, if anyone can help me that will be very much appreciated, thank you.
