Before people tell me to check the forums as it been answered already, I did. I spent the last week trying every technique I read.
I tried tags with tagging my logs, I have tried the tags; "logs", "logwood", "logWood", "logswood", and "logsWood". None of those tags worked.
I have no idea what I might be doing wrong. Leaves constantly decay, no matter if I alter the code, or add a tag.
you can set them up to be a regular block and have the procedure check for either the "leaf" or the wood block. Other than that I don't know how to help you, my only tree in my mods in use stone setting for the wood and block.
questions to ask:
are the leaves your custom leaves or vanilla?
how are you placing the leaves?
are you willing to code?
My leaves are custom, and spawn in the biome or a procedure for the sapling. I only use the procedure system, no coding.. You can mimmick the leaf despawn with a procedure. I can throw one together after work tonight.
