Someone could help me: I am creating my mod and I am thinking of creating a Patreon, to remain inspired to continue it, but how can I ensure that the people who are my subscribers do not distribute it in a public way?
You can legally request that, but can't enforce that (reasonably).
Also, be very careful, this would be considered selling mods, which is may not be legal per Minecraft EULA so be careful to not break laws.
IANAL, so check with licenses and potentially a lawyer.
I think I found a solution: I can't force anyone not to post the mods somewhere, but maybe I can benefit subscribers if it doesn't, or it does happen on a small scale, and publish the mods on a platform when it stays ready. Would that be a solution?
