So I am making a mod that involves a "Class" System, similar to D&D. The first time you enter a world, you choose your class, but only the first time you join the world. when selecting your class I want it to save I and don't know that either. I want this to be multiplayer compatible, where everyone can choose different classes.
me too i want to make a class system like team fortress 2
i think it need gui for the buttons and they trigger procedure which load the saved things from the class inventory like weapons clothes etc
I'm not sure about this, but I think you can add an achievement to the player once he/she has chosen his/her class. So you can add a global procedure trigger "when a player join world" (or something like that) that show the GUI only if the player don't have the achievement unlocked, then you add it to him/her. You could save the chosen class in a NBT tag of the player.
PS: Sorry for my bad english, I am french

ok thanks thats a good idea
It's simple (I think Xd), create a permanent player variable for each class and another when you enter the world for the first time, the one to enter the world must be false, if it is false, then the GUI to choose class opens, once a class was chosen, the variable is changed to true, and the GUI no longer appears, the other thing is that when pressing the class button the permanent variable of that class is activated, not being able to activate the rest
(player persistent is so that it is saved, works in multiplayer and that when you die it does not get lost)
I use google traductor :C
Loll I needed this too
I'll post more if i need any more help tho!
