How do i make a segmented structure?

I am trying to make a dungeons mod, and I want to make a custom dimention that randomly generates a dungeon when you enter. how do i do this?

I don't know how to do it when you enter the dimension but I know the user FredLeon made a good tutorial about them a while ago so the pictures might not display anymore.
