Is there a way to make vanilla mobs spawn in different vanilla biomes?

I want to make it so that mooshrooms can spawn in Dark Oak Forests and the Nether, but I don't know how because I can't directly edit the mooshroom or the biomes without breaking into the code, which I am inexperienced with. Does anyone have a way to do this? I tried procedures, but they don't work.

Yes. Just go to the spawning tab and in biomes where the entity spawn and pres +. search your biome and press ok. Make the same whit all the biomes you want to add.

I'm talking about a vanilla mob. That only works with modded mobs.

I still have this question by the way, if it's possible at all. The above solution only works for modded mobs, not vanilla mobs.
