Help. I need help getting items into block GUI's

So I've tried all I could to make it so when it's sunlight out, my solar panel starts putting an item into the solar panel GUI. could I get help pls?

The problem is that I tried every block that "Adds" an item to the inventory of the GUI of the block. None of them are working, and i was hoping you could help me make the procedure needed for this?
