runClient FAILED (after changing from 1.16.5 to 1.17.1)
Fri, 12/31/2021 - 22:09 (edited)

I ported a mod from 1.16.5 to 1.17.1, which included no custom code. Regenerating code works, building workspace works, running client fails.

(Workspace settings > Minecraft version (generator): > Selected generator: Minecraft Forge for 1.16.5 (36.2.20) > 1.17.1 (37.1.1))

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':runClient'.
> Process 'command 'C:\Program Files\Pylo\MCreator\jdk\bin\java.exe'' finished with non-zero exit value 1
* Try:
Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output. Run with --scan to get full insights.

If you need me to post the entire log here or do anything else, let me know.

Yes, I am able to change back to 1.16.5 and everything works.

You may need to open Windows Explorer, select the .gradle folder in C:\Username Folder\14933, try to delete and re-run the client

i have tried numerous things to attempt to resolve the problem, like deleting the cache folder in the gradle folder, deleting the entire gradle folder, uninstalling and reinstalling mcreator, and installing a slightly older version of 2021.3, and they all did not work.
