Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
For my mod, Spellforge, I'm trying to create a ghost-themed armor set. For the female variant I was going to make a white gown called the Ghost Maiden Dress. The intention is not for the dress to go out to the sides, but for it to go straight down, like leggings that are connected to the chestplate and aren't cut down the middle as you walk. My original idea was to make a basic armor texture and draw a dress coming down off of the chestplate at the bottom, but of course the chestplate ends right at the bottom of the screen, leaving no room to make the dress.
Is there any way I can make a dress without using coding and without making it two separate pieces of armor (preferably just the body and not the legs)?
Thank you!!
i could make a model for you if you want me to because there isn't a way to do this with 3d modeling. reply if you need it.
You'll have to make a 3d java model armor
@Pepper: It would be great if you could make a model! Thank you so much. This is a general idea of what the dress would look like in front.
the picture didnt load send another one
one more thing, do you want the dress to be a part of the chestplate slot or the leggings slot?
I'd like it to be the chestplate slot so players can wear leggings under it. Also, sorry, pictures are not working. It should be a very pale blue (almost white) dress that goes straight down without going out to the side, outline darker and bluer, some grayish shading and folds, short sleeves with little lace thing, and tattered at the bottom for ghostly effect
Is that enough to go on? Thank you so much for helping
that should be fine, ill have your model up in a moment
here, ill send it right now, tell me if you like it!

Oops just realized I never responded sorry
I downloaded the files but texture was glitched in-game. I'm actually going to use Blockbench for other things anyways, so I can try to make the design myself. Thanks for all your help though.
