In almost all cases, updating from snapshots into newer snapshots/releases will work correctly. I'd worry more if specific snapshot would not be able to open your workspace, so this is why I'd suggest you to do backups not only before you switch versions, but also during creation of the mod.
As for backups - just locate the workspace folder in your computer (usually it is under C:/Users/USERNAME/MCreatorWorkspaces/) and either copy or zip the workspace. You can also export workspace in MCreator itself, though I never used this feature, so can't say if it's more reliable (it makes workspace smaller though).

Nice update! Hope that we get cave biomes for custom dimensions one day too.

the snapshot is broken man can't create mods the code is constantly showing errors

Can you add more texture generators?

(ex. ore, deepslate ore, bow, etc.)

I am hyped finally nether as well as cave biomes are possible and I am also glad that there are new mob models

Gonna bother adding deepslate versions of custom ores?

(ex. diamond ore is higher y lv, deepslate diamond is lower y lv)

i made a test biome and it generates under ground but when i use /locatebiome it says it couldnt find the biome

This is amazing! I can finally make my deepslate ore better and the transparent, piglin, oceolot and witch thing will help my mod a lot!
I'm thinking of making a piglin-like creature that shakes when its in water and takes damage so its going to be really useful for that!
