Help with vanilla-like transportation system?

So I was thinking for ideas for a easy transportation system for my mod pre-wild update because nobodys gonna spend days walking or on a horse to find two extremely rare biomes, but i couldn't think of a single idea so now i'm stuck.

please keep the idea vanilla-based and not too op, nothing like steampunk minecarts that makes you go 567,623,540 blocks a second pls
