So me and my friend tried to add some items to our mod and it just straight up doesnt work, when we try to add the models they just change into an black and purple 2x2 blocks which dont work. We create models in blockbench so if anybody encountered this too i would appriciate if you'd respond as we've got no clue what is happening.

What file format are you using? If it is OBJ+MTL please switch to .JAVA or .JSON, after a no-texture issue with .OBJs, i switched to JSONs with separately exported .png texture files for MCreator, always worked correctly. For working with JAVA/JSON 3D models i recommend the program Blockbench: it has all the features for Minecraft integrated, such as how it looks in the player's hand.
