upgrading mod

i upgraded my mod from 1.16.5 to 1.18.2 but now it only says i can run it in safe mode but when i click on safe mode nothing happens how do i fix this???

Update to 1.18.2. Go to your resources and delete the data folder, regenerate the code and run the game.

okay i found out the solution you gotta delete the graddle then delete the data file in build/resources/data then reload the mod
