Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Bedrock Edition)
So I am just getting started with trying to make Mods for Minecraft Bedrock for my family. I have a 3d graphics background so i thought i would give it a try.
There seem to be people asking questions about doing lots of different things but then i look at the options for the Bedrock plugin and its almost nothing. Only Loot Table, Recipe, and Function. Is that it?
To get started my daughter just wanted me to start with some custom furniture. Playing with Blockbench as well.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
We play on xbox and pc. Maybe ipad.
Thanks

Sadly bedrock does not support much features yet, custom block models being one of them
Sadly, even though MINECRAFT allows more, MCreator doesn't which is really stupid since they can. I am trying to make a Ruby Pickaxe, and it wont let me change the level of what it can mine, or even its durability. I only got MCreator because another program I was using wouldn't register the texture in the game, but it was just a bug. Use bridge. instead. It's free, and you can add literally ANYTHING to the game. https://github.com/bridge-core/bridge.
yeah, this is something I found out myself as well, and while i don't own the Bedrock edition version of Minecraft for Windows it's probably better off without me making mods for this "counterpart" of the game I found out on the knowledge base that the bedrock edition version of the game has limitations which may explain why this is the case, and that the api for certain addon creating is garbage. stripped out everything custom armor, procedures, liquids, and many other things.
all in all, something working out his way is feasible but only if someone in the modding community REALLY knows how to work around all these blockades. maybe in the mcreator community as well but if that's the case. it would be awesome if someone out there knows these things. and take the bs i said made them reality somehow.
btw Joresmi the link you specified is either dead or the page got deleted form github so yeah use google instead to search this up
MCreator is meant to be a java modding tool, and it does its job well while being free. If it also has an optional feature that you pay nothing extra for you don't have the right to complain about it.
