Topic category: Help with MCreator software
Ive been using MCreator for a long time now and I have always had this problem. I have been using 2021 MCreator with Minecraft version 1.16.5, and this random freezing has occurred on the regular since I first made the mod. This does not happen with any of my other mods, and I do not believe it is just a lag issue. I allowed Minecraft as much ram as it wants. Also, my mod has no “every tick” procedures or infinite loops or any of that and it only consists of about 200 elements. Remember- even when it was 20 elements it had this problem. I cannot figure out why and it makes the game unplayable. I tried re-importing the mod to a new mcreator and publishing it again and it still doesnt work. It doesn’t work on other peoples computers either. If anyone knows how to fix this I would be very appreciative.
If it is just when using your mod, I have no clue what the problem is, if there is anything other than your mod that causes your computer(or parts of it) to freeze, then it could be a hard drive problem(in which case move every file you care about to a different hard drive)

Even when I download the mod and use it in curseforge on a separate computer it still has this problem.
Then I have no clue what the problem is, at least it is not your computer's hard drive
