How do i make the models render translucent layers in mobs?

I made this cute model for Entities in my mod But they will render like the right one in game

 

How could i make them render like normal slimes?

After a lot of research aparently i have to code the model to work like the slime, but i have no idea how the slime model works, can someone help :(
