The snapshot archives are functional at best.
Perhaps making a way to have the snapshot release alongside the base release as an installed instance would be appropriate... remove the need to manually download the new snapshot if the updates are bugfixes...
This works for other development "engines" with a release and a public test build, so why not do it that way, too!
well, the thing is that, theses are snapshots, and are very unstable, why do they wait to finish up everything? to make sure that all of your work doesn't break, or worse, completely breaks and you'll have to do everything again. even bug fixes, since code had been changed, you have no idea of what it's going to affect too, so they slowly fix bugs until they don't have any major ones that can be dangerous for your mods
