Topic category: Help with MCreator software
Ok so this is kind of a long story.
Basically, I wanted to make a 1.18.2 mod with Geckolib entities. I was using 2023.1 before for this, but I upgraded to 2023.3 because I saw that it had a 1.18.2 generator plugin. I installed the new MCreator version along with the 1.18.2 plugin successfully. However, I saw that the Geckolib plugin for 2023.3 didn't support 1.18.2, so I installed the 2023.1 version of the plugin because that one does support 1.18.2.
The plugin loaded fine, the API loaded into the workspace fine. In the workspace the options for animated block/entity/item/armor are there. The problem is that the thing at the top that says Geckolib where you import the models and animations is not there. Also, when I try creating a new animated entity, block, or armor, the naming window pops up, but after naming it, nothing happens. I can create an animated item, but since I can't import the Geckolib models, it's pretty much useless.
I have Java plugins enabled, I even turned it off and on again. There are no error messages, so I can't really show any pictures. What do I do?
What did you expect? The 2023.1 version of the plugin is not going to work properly with 2023.3.
You're right, I should've expected that haha. However, I did figure out that you can just have two versions of MCreator at the same time so that's kind of a fix? Note to self and anyone else who might try this: don't do this.
