Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
I made a custom dimension with a custom biome but for some reason only hostile mobs are spawning I have set the main block of the biome to grass material and the dimension has a natural and ambient lightsource the passive mobs are devined as creature the dimension also has a frozen top layer (I do not know if this can affect things) I just can't get passive mobs to spawn!

Update: now hostile mobs also aren't spawning anymore
Ok the hostile mobs are spawning again as well as the water mobs but the creature mobs are still not spawning
I fixed it by setting the mobs to ambient
They are still ridiculously rare though and almost never spawn (this is only the passive mobs)
can i ask about it?
how did you manage to disable hostile mob spawning
i want it
