I have this boss that uses wait blocks to attack, but when the player dies any wait block that's active gets canceled. How do i fix this?

I have this boss that uses wait blocks to attack, but when the player dies any wait block that's active gets canceled. How do i fix this?
Someone please help me, if I don't figure this out, I won't be able to make my mod in time for the modjam.
