I am a fan of Forge, and I don't like the path the development is taking, since I want to port my mod to 1.20.4+ version of Forge, and no release for forge on 1.20.4 meaning I cannot port my mod to that version. I prefer playing with forge and not neoforge, thank you.
No official forge generators will be developed going forward. 1.20.1 is going to be the last one.
but why? forge has been a stable modding api for years.
Most of development team of Forge moved to NeoForge, so we are for now assuming there is a brighter future for NeoForge
But how will I maintain my mod made exclusively for Forge now.
You may need to decide to move to NeoForge
i honestly find it more likely that Fabric will take over sooner or later as the most used Modloader, since i notice quite alot of the REALLY good mods and interesting, seem to be only for Fabric and not really anything else (Modern Beta as example) or mods that add Seasons to the game and other stuff
So while NeoForge exists currently, theres a chance over time it will get overshadowed by Fabric
but, you guys decide to do whatever you're gonna do
(ment to put "and Interesting mods" But i didn't finish it)
