Offline Creations

Hello there.

What files do I need in order to run MCreator offline? Everytime I fire it up it wants to download forge, but I already have forge and I don't have internet at home.

When you install MCreator, it

When you install MCreator, it downloads some files, like forge, and it takes a lot of time. It downloads forge because the forge that you have downloaded is in the minecraft folder and not in the mcreator folder

Uhm, yes, cool but... ok here's what I do:

I install MCreator 1.7.2 (And Minecraft as well) on a cibercafé computer, run it (I let it download all of his stuff) then I copy the MCreator and Minecraft folders to my flash drive, then when I'm at home I transfer both folders from my flash drive to my 'offline' pc, then I execute MCreator and get this annoying download request.

I don't know why it downloads files even if they 're already downloaded.
But remember that for using MCreator you always need Internet

Very old post but I am still…

Very old post but I am still going to say this incase anyone comes here.

MCreator, like most softwares, games, etc, can not simply be taken from one device and put onto another through a thumb drive. When you install a software, it configures to the device you are installing it on, and so while you still have the files that MCreator uses, you do not have anything in your computer registry for MCreator, therefore, your computer has to redownload and configure the software to work on it, even if you transfer all program files. Because MCreator has a set up process that requires internet, in order to set up MCreator on the device you carried it over to, you would need internet access to do so as that is just part of the setup.

Actually iam scared to use MCreator again becuse they dont have offline mode. even we do offline mode with android studio
and funny part is that they stop supporting old versions after a while, like they did whit 1.7.10 and lower then that and non of our projects are runnable any more.
if you gone stop old versions there has to be offline mode
we are talking abut F@#&ing MC,,, there is millions of educational old mods out there that need to be modified some times.
