About the plugin

Blockstates is a plugin which allows you to define multiple states in which your blocks change textures, models, bounding boxes and light levels. It introduces the blockstates mod element and multiple procedure blocks with which you can control the current blockstate your block uses.

IF YOU ARE UPDATING TO 2026.1 FROM 2025.3 OR OLDER, READ THE VERSION 1.9 CHANGELOG

This is a java plugin and requires java plugins to be enabled.

Comments

The only thing I can criticize is that it is impossible to use detection, when the player has an item in hand, to change the blockstate. !

For anyone that want's to use this for 1.20.1 in 2025.1, you can just edit the plugin.json inside the .zip and change the supported version to 2025001. From my testing it works fine for a temporary fix.

theres a bug if you use block bases, such as leaves, if you also have a transparent blockstate then it will not be transparent in game

Thank you so much for this plugin!!! It's made working on my mod so much easier!

I believe this is in the new MCreator snapshot. Does this offer more functionality?

Hi, I've been using this plugin and it's amazing.
I just wanna ask, could you add a way to choose the blockstate name?

So i got the blockstates working, but there are a couple things i want to do with them, first one being like the candle in minecraft so if you right click the block with the same block it changes the blockstate, and the second one being that different blockstates drop different amounts, like if i have 3 blockstates and i want the first blockstate to drop 2 of the block, and so on, how could i make that happen?

Amazing plugin, use it most of my higher quality mods. But i have one issue (Or complaint if you will) That when i change blockstates to a new block, it seems transparent parts are autofilled with black. I do not know if this is fixable or an overall issue.

Does this plugin not support custom models? Whenever I make a blockstate, changing to that blockstate clearly uses the correct model (as the auto generated bounding box shows) but visually appears as just a missing texture 1x1 block
