And in general, I would like more interaction with tooltips as in the "item tooltips" plugin
Probably far from the best solution but it should work;
you can do what many servers do and change an unused symbol to your image, using a built-in resourcepack, and then put that symbol in your item's description.
I've already done this, but I'm afraid I might run out of unused emojis :(
It takes more effort but you can make your own font, then you have all the unicode panels for your own symbols.
But I think you might have to use custom code when you need to display it somewhere in mcreator.
