Number from text is not working

This block just doesn't work. It's like devs just forgot about this and left it.I found another post about this and it said go into the code and stuf i did it but it still doesn't work. It's stupid. Im using 2024.4 btw ı use it for geckolib i know you can make animations and such in new updates but im to lazy to convert them. If it works in newer updates let me know.
