Hi. I have used MCreator on and off for several years making a mod for my friends and I to play with. I tried opening it back up, and with the updated version of MCreator (which it urged me to download) it could not open properly. I tried going to an older version, but it was corrupted and now every mod element is totally deleted. Is there any way to recover??? I am so so so upset and frustrated. I have an old java export of the mod - is there any way for me to re-import that to fix things?
How did you go back to old version? Did you manually edit .mcreator file to go back, because this is sure way to break things if you decide to alter workspace files manually.
Also if you worked years on it, there is almost certanly backups in <workspace folder>/.mcreator made for you
i did do it manually oops. i cannot find backups at all, where am i supposed to find those?
You wielded your own destiny, if MCreator does not allow you to open newer worksapce in older version, it does it for a reason...

I would recommend not manually messing with core file, or if you really need to, make a backup before you do so.
