ok so i was trying to make my own armor using this generator https://mcreator.net/plugin/99914/minecraft-forge-1192-java-editiondatapack-generator and it was all fine until i needed to upload the armor texture, i tried to do so but it wouldnt show up. no matter what i tried or how many times i imported it nothing would work. please someone help me with this issue because i really want to finish my armor set
Armor texture files need to end in 'layer_1.png' or 'layer_2.png' and they are separated into two different files. layer 1 for chestplate, helmet and boots, and layer 2 for leggings. The layer_1 or layer_2 is commonly overlooked but vital. (.png is an image file type, and likely what file type your armor texture is using, but the layer_1 and layer_2 are the weird parts, but Minecraft, and therefore MCreator, treats armor texture files weirdly.)
yeah, i already did that but it still didnt show up
