About the plugin

Upgraded and improved, Nerdy's New Curios API plugin introduces new mod elements to MCreator that allow for creating Curios compatible slots and baubles that can provide both visual model rendering and functionality.

While Curios API must always be enabled in the workspace, it does not become a required dependency, remaining completely optional. When Curios is not loaded alongside your mod, your baubles only lose their Curios functionality and your mod is able to be loaded alone.

Java plugins must be enabled for this plugin to load

How to use?

First of all, despite being optional when loading the mod, Curios API must be enabled in your workspace so the Curios code can compile. You will need to do this in workspace settings.

You can then create a curios bauble and select the item element you want to turn into a bauble.

To render a model when equipping the bauble, you will need to make a java model the same way you would for an armor, and select the pieces so they can match the movement of the player model

Showcase

With the curios slot mod element, you can also create new slots for your baubles not included in curios. The texture should match the size of the slot. If not, it will be stretched and resized to fit.

will there be support for 2024.4 at all? or at least what would i have to modify to make it work for 2024.4

Hi! In 2025.3, whenever I launch the client with a custom bauble I get a bunch of "cannot find symbol" errors in the console. Going to the custom bauble and re-saving it fixes it, but I have to do that every time I want to launch the game.

The GOAT's alive! Anyways, regenerating and rebuilding the workspace with new cache doesn't fix it. Mcreator cannot find the 'Icuriorenderer' package. Would be nice to know if this is a problem with my mcreator or the plugin.

Do you happen to know if there are compatibility issues with using a 1.21.4 generator plugin. Does not compile, even with correct versions of the plugin and API mod.

Please create a version for NeoForge 1.21.1 that includes all the necessary features in the Curios API section. It's not possible to add `do event` or `can provide` to the newer versions.

How awful! The visual and item state options are gone from the newer versions. Basic options like "Does event/target entity have a ** equipped?" are also missing. There's nothing you can do anymore.

Could you update this to the 2026 version please? I couldnt find a way to downgrade my projects or upgrade this mod, and I kinda need it for an idea i had. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, is there a way to prevent MCreator from changing slots.json file? I add additional slots I need, but MCreator keeps changing the file so the slots I add in json file dont appear at all
